About
GD Events Group is a brand experience practice based in Sydney, founded and led by Grace Dagher.
What GD does, when stripped of the language people use to describe it, is design environments that influence how people feel, connect, remember, and ultimately decide.
On paper that gets called events, gifting, hospitality, brand experiences, or hosted journeys.
The deeper work — and what GD spends its time on — is the human experience inside the environment.
How the practice came to be.
GD wasn't built from a desire to become another event planner. It came from Grace's observation of how disconnected most experiences felt, even the expensive ones.
Grace spent years watching organisations invest substantial sums into events, activations, hospitality, and gifting, and noticing how often the work lacked intention underneath the surface. Things looked beautiful, but they rarely made people feel anything meaningful. There was rarely a real understanding of human behaviour or how environments influence people. People don't remember centrepieces or schedules the way the industry thinks they do. They remember how comfortable they felt. Whether they were welcomed. Whether conversations flowed. Whether the experience made them feel seen, considered, or valued.
That observation became the foundation of GD.
What GD believes
People respond to environments emotionally before they respond logically. That response shapes what follows — whether someone stays, engages, trusts, returns, or refers. Most organisations underestimate how much emotional state affects commercial outcomes. GD doesn't.
Every engagement is treated as a kind of stewardship — of someone's time, attention, presence, and trust. When a person walks into a room GD has designed, accepts a gift GD has curated, or joins a journey GD has led, they are giving something valuable. That deserves more care than most experiences currently offer.
About the practice
GD's work expresses itself across four environments: corporate experiences, hosted environments and gifting, strategic experience programs, and curated journeys. The thinking stays the same in each. Whether it is a private dinner for 14, a gifting program at scale, an investor experience program, or a pilgrimage across Europe, the principles hold.
Pilgrimages and curated journeys are core expressions of the practice. Some of the most meaningful work GD has led has happened far from a corporate environment, and some of those experiences have moved people commercially, relationally, and at times spiritually.
The practice operates from Sydney and works with organisations and individuals across Australia and internationally. Past experiences have been delivered across Europe, the Middle East, China, and Vietnam, alongside the bulk of GD's domestic work in Australia.
GD is built deliberately — not as a category leader, but as a category of one. A practice known for clarity, emotional intelligence, and environments that genuinely shift how people feel and respond.
The mission behind the work
GD Events Group exists for a reason that sits outside the business itself.
In 2024, Grace founded The Grace of God Mission, an independent charitable initiative built on one conviction: that orphaned and disadvantaged children, and adults carrying love they have no one to give, each need the other. The Mission pairs the two through long-term mentoring relationships, beginning with visits and growing into ongoing connection. It is faith-led, modelled on the example of Mother Theresa, and operating quietly in its founding years while a board and partnerships are formed.
The success of GD funds the Mission.
The Mission gives the work its purpose. The business is the work. The mission is the reason.
How GD works
The practice is private, referral-led, and selective. Each engagement is held with discretion.
